Spurge gets married!

This summer I was able to go to Paul and Elizabeth's wedding in Milwaukee. I was there as Paul's best man, but still managed to take a couple pictures along the way! Here are some of the highlights. Most of them are in black and white.

Peter Marshall - one of Paul's groomsmen and one of his close friends from Wheaton College. This was at breakfast the morning of the wedding. We finally got Paul to break his diet... I think his diet was called... anorexia or something like that...

The lovely remnants of our breakfast!

The Church where they tied the knot. The lighting in there was great.

At the Rehearsal, I didn't get to take many pictures, but here is one I did catch...

This is one of my favs. I managed to catch a glimpse of Elizabeth checking herself out in the mirror...

Shoes... Girls and their shoes, I will never understand.

Leaving the church... I was fooling around with some of the brushes in Photoshop (I still have very little idea of what I'm doing in that program)

Inanimate Objects

Taking a break from babies, here is a post that will probably be really boring, or really interesting. I've always been a bit envious of photographers who could take inherently boring things and make them aesthetically pleasing

First up, Totally inexplicable and random. Cherise and I were filling up on gas in Maine when we saw this... No photographic value, but hilarious.

Also from our road trip, I saw this sign in New York City. I was struck by the truth of the message, and the irony of its location in the city... though provoking... at least for me.

This picture is really cliche, but if the guy on the street can sell his print of this for $8, why can't I have my own?

While waiting in line to see "In the Heights", I saw this lock. If they had a security camera, they probably though I was going to break in... "hey! check out the china-man trying to break in!"

Final Cut Express

I recently started fooling around with Final Cut Express. I really don't know what I'm doing with this software, and since I deal only with stills, I have only scratched the surface of what this software can do. Anyway, here is a slideshow from some of the the Engineer Course.

Ellie

Jeremy and Stephanie are at Fort Leonard Wood with Cherise and me. They have been good friends since our time in Texas. We took these photos at their house using almost all natural light. I finally got around to editing their pictures, and here are some of my favorites!
